What is a boxing machine?

A boxing machine – also called a punch machine, punch bag machine or arcade boxer – measures the power of a single punch. The padded bag drops down, the player strikes it and the machine turns the impact into a score on a big digital display, with lights and sound effects. Each go takes seconds, so even a long queue moves fast, and the queue becomes part of the show.

Space, power and access

Our boxing machine is a full-size commercial unit: the machine is about 71cm wide, 130cm deep and 214cm tall, weighs around 118kg and runs from one standard 13A socket. Allow an operating area of roughly 1.5m x 1.8m with 2.3m of headroom so players can swing safely. It travels on a trolley, so it can't go up stairs – upper floors need a lift. We send the full spec sheet with your quote so your venue can sign it off.
